CBS signs multi-platform content deal with EQAL
CBS announced a partnership with social entertainment firm EQAL to create and produce multi-platform content tied to existing and future Tiffany Network productions. Per terms of the non-exclusive deal, EQAL--best known for the popular interactive web dramas lonelygirl15 and KateModern--will offer CBS right of first refusal on its new multi-platform concepts as well as collaborate with the network to extend primetime series narratives to the online and mobile spaces. EQAL staffers will work alongside CBS writers at the script and production levels to create digital programming that closely ties to and promotes network telecasts.
