CBS Sports Mobile Ultimate Sports Application debuts

CBS Interactive announced the launch of the modestly-named CBS Sports Mobile Ultimate Sports Application, promising users live scores, stats, headlines, streaming video and fantasy team updates via their handsets. The customizable app offers users mobile access to the complete cross-platform CBSSports.com digital community, including personal profile updates and message-board smack talk, and spans all major sports. The CBS Sports Mobile Ultimate Sports Application anticipates the planned September debut of a redesigned CBS Sports mobile website supported by targeted ad sponsorships--in time for the 2008 fantasy football season, CBS will also introduce free mobile alerts that feature player updates, trade status notifications, fantasy expert insight and other content personalized to the user's fantasy roster. The CBS Sports Mobile Ultimate Sports Application is now available on 18 AT&T handsets for $4.99 per month.
