CBSSports.com College Network launches 190 free mobile apps

CBS Interactive's CBSSports.com College Network unit, which produces dozens of official collegiate athletic sites, rolled out 190 free Android and BlackBerry applications spanning 95 NCAA Division I universities including Michigan State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, UCLA and Texas. The new GameTracker apps--produced in association with Polar Mobile--promise quick access to coverage across 14 different collegiate sports, touting exclusive video content and live scores complete with play-by-play details, along with schedules, stats, standings and breaking news.

CBSSports.com College Network released a wave of official college athletics apps for the iPhone platform in late 2009. While the new Android and BlackBerry apps are free, the iPhone apps are priced at $4.99 each.
