ChaCha answers 150 million queries in 18 months

Free mobile answers service ChaCha reports traffic has increased 1000 percent since the firm's January 2008 launch, supplying text answers to more than 150 million questions via mobile devices and the web. Citing Nielsen Company data, ChaCha announced it ranked among the top 10 most trafficked short message services in the first quarter of 2009--in addition, its website now generates more than 2.3 million unique visitors per month according to Quantcast. ChaCha leverages human guides or keywords to provide answers to any question--users can pose queries by text or calling a toll-free number.
