China to fine, jail adult content SMS senders
After months of increasing penalties in China for mobile content that officials deem "inappropriate," the country has now declared that any person that sends explicit text messages or other such content could face nine days in jail and a fine of about $60. With 329 billion SMS messages sent last year, you have to wonder if the Chinese government will end up making more off fines than the U.S. industry will generate in revenue.
