Chutes& Ladders: mPortal's new COO

MVNO content enabler mPortal has hired former Oracle-exec Michael McCray as its new COO. McCray will oversee day-to-day operations at mPortal including product development and delivery, managing client implementations as well as running the company's operations in India. mPortal CEO D. P. Venkatesh said: "Mike's unique blend of experience in both small and large companies is relevant to mPortal as we make the transition from an early stage company to a global enterprise." At Oracle, McCray served as VP of both Oracle Consulting and Oracle Support Services. mPortal clients include Disney, ESPN and TV Guide.
