Cingular bows first HSDPA handset

Tools

Slightly trailing both Verizon Wireless and Sprint in the broadband wireless services game, Cingular is looking to catch up with the introduction of its first true next-gen broadband device--Samsung's SGH-zx20.

The new phone is a necessary and expected step for Cingular to begin offering more sophisticated content services to subscribers. So the next step is to see what new services Cingular rolls out to support the phone's capabilities. As an aside, can everybody just agree to follow Motorola's lead and start naming their devices better? SGH-zx20? Why not just call it the zzzzzz and really put us to sleep?
