Colibria gets into the app store game

Tools

Another entrant has joined the app store frenzy. Colibria announced today it has developed an App Center that will let mobile operators deploy multiple applications through their existing messaging infrastructure.

Specifically, Colibria says its App Center can deliver applications such as Twitter, Google Talk, Facebook and flick to mobile devices using one interface. The App Center is compatible across a number of handsets, many of which are not classified as smartphones. The App Center also can host Internet IM applications and provide access to 3rd party applications.

Colibria joins many other independent App Store entrants including GetJar, Handango and more. GetJar recently announced it topped the 400 million app download benchmark.
