Concierge Mobile checks in via Crisp
Mobile content software developer Crisp Wireless announced a partnership with Condé Nast Traveler magazine's Concierge.com site to create Concierge Mobile. Targeting affluent travelers, the free, ad-supported service will deliver vacation recommendations, insider guides and lists of the world's top hotels and resorts.
"Travel content is perfect for mobile--look at the travelers' lifestyle," Crisp Wireless CEO Boris Fridman said in an interview with FierceMobileContent. "This service is designed for the mobile user without access to the web. The sweet spot is users who are on vacation."
According to Fridman, Concierge Mobile will generate revenue via mobile advertising, embracing both existing Concierge.com advertisers and new sponsors. "Condé Nast is very selective about its advertisers, and there are many well-known advertisers who want to be associated with that company," Fridman said. "But we're looking at traditional advertising, not search. Search is yet to become very effective in mobile."
