Digital Chocolate debuts DChoc Café Series
Mobile applications and games publisher Digital Chocolate announced the launch of its DChoc Café Series, a new suite of games that merges casual titles with elements of social networking. Entries in the series--inspired by popular games commonly found and played at local cafés, watering holes and related neighborhood destinations--enable gamers to create personalized characters, form exclusive groups and earn points to unlock bonus items and upgrades. The first games available in the DChoc Café Series include Sudoku, Kakuro (the latest Japanese puzzle craze), Hold'em Poker, Mahjong and Solitaire--Digital Chocolate said it regularly will add new titles, and will support the series with a new website, www.dchoccafe.com, where consumers can download and play free game trials, watch videos and invite friends to learn more.
According to Digital Chocolate, DChoc Café Series titles are now launching across more than 100 mobile operators worldwide, with games already available via AT&T, T-Mobile and 3. "The introduction of the DChoc Café Series combines the trend of casual games with a community environment that promotes social interaction," said Trip Hawkins, Digital Chocolate founder and CEO. "The DChoc Café Series demonstrates the promise of mobile games: socially driven entertainment that allows players to stay connected with friends while playing fun, casual games."
