Dilithium debuts media content adaptation solution

Multimedia delivery solutions provider Dilithium announced the launch of the Dilithium Content Adapter, which promises to automate real-time adaptation and delivery of video content over multiple networks to any device. According to Dilithium, the DCA enables on-demand multimedia transcoding, transrating and transsizing with minimal latency, effectively sidestepping off-line conversion. The solution builds on the firm's existing 3G mobile video solutions, which boast customers in more than 50 countries covering 800 million subscribers, and also enables additional revenue streams like targeted ad insertion.
