Disney acquires Enorbus
The Walt Disney Co. acquired Chinese mobile content developer Enorbus, the Mouse's second purchase in the region following its addition of Mobile2win last year. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, although the purchase price is rumored to be in the neighborhood of $20 million.
Enorbus, which specializes in the mobile gaming sector, boasts operator deals with China Mobile, China Unicom, Japan's KDDI and Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom. The firm also works with international content providers and gaming companies to adapt and distribute their properties for the Asia-Pacific market.
"The acquisition further demonstrates the company's commitment to expanding its global presence and in providing compelling entertainment anywhere and anytime," Disney said in a statement. "It also will provide a solid foundation for continuing to grow WDIG's mobile content business around the world."
