DoCoMo, KDDI want myMTV
Viacom International Japan announced the launch of myMTV, Japan's first mobile entertainment social networking service. The free, ad-supported application, available for download via mobile operators NTT DoCoMo, KDDI and Softbank Mobile, enables subscribers to create individual profile pages adorned with exclusive artwork created by top graphic designers, upload and share video clips and link to pages created by friends or content providers, including professional recording artists like Kreva, Rize and Ryukyudisko. myMTV will also feature MTV Networks programming including "Pimp My Ride" and the Japanese production "Usavich."
"myMTV is the most sophisticated mobile service we've launched to date and shows the strength of our global digital network," said Gideon Bierer, MTV Networks International SVP of digital media. "Japan is at the forefront of the mobile entertainment market and is playing a key part in the global development of MTV Networks digital products."
