dotMobi acquires Mowser
Mobile web domain registry dotMobi announced it acquired the intellectual property assets of mobile browsing firm Mowser. Financial terms were not disclosed. According to dotMobi, acquiring the Mowser technology--described as "a PC website-to-mobile website content adaptation engine" by dotMobi CEO Trey Harvin--enables the company to provide a more complete range of mobile content creation solutions. dotMobi will integrate Mowser technology to develop new business-grade and consumer-grade mobile development tools and enhance existing tools including its handset information resource DeviceAtlas.
