Dow Jones launches mobile news site

Hot on the heels of Reuters, financial info company Dow Jones Newswires is launching a mobile news service called DJNmobile.com. The site will offer subscribers news, commentary, analysis, stock prices and index information along with search and personalization functions."

Earlier this month Reuters launched its own mobile news portal and news SMS alerts. The company is currently offering a free beta test of the service. Users can Text "TOP to 2KNOW" (25669) for the top headlines in the U.S. and elsewhere. The service provides about three to five alerts per week. Users can alternatively go to http://mobile.reuters.com on any Internet-enabled mobile device.
