EA Mobile to distribute Namco Bandai games
Electronic Arts announced a distribution agreement with fellow games publisher Namco Bandai Networks Europe, granting its EA Mobile unit rights to distribute existing and upcoming Namco Bandai titles in Europe, Russia, India, Latin America, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. Effective Nov. 1, the deal sees Namco Bandai mobile content becoming available to international consumers via EA Mobile's mobile distribution channels--EA will also manage Namco content in existing channels. The agreement does not impact Namco Bandai's North American distribution or its iPhone activities, both of which remain under the control of its Namco Networks America division. In addition, Namco Bandai will continue to own distribution in direct channels like smartphone application stores and through its own direct online store.
