EA Mobile goes Hollywood with Harry Potter, G.I. Joe games
Interactive entertainment software firm Electronic Arts' EA Mobile division announced plans to launch new titles based on projected Hollywood summer blockbusters Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and G.I. JOE: The Rise of Cobra, which follow on the heels of its recent Star Trek and X-Men Origins: Wolverine games. According to EA Mobile, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince promises gamers the chance to interact with characters Harry, Ron and Hermione in the free-roaming environment of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, while G.I. JOE: The Rise of Cobra, developed under license from toymaker Hasbro, gives players the chance to join characters Duke, Scarlett and Rip Cord as they battle Cobra in an adventure set immediately following the movie's conclusion. Both EA Mobile games will be available on feature phones in July.
