EA Mobile kicks off content, news site

Tools

Gaming developer EA Mobile announced the launch of EA Sports Link, a new mobile site enabling users to access EA Sports titles, ringtones and wallpapers as well as sports and gaming news. Available now via AT&T/Cingular, EA Sports Link consists of two primary components: Catalog Content and RSS News Feeder, the latter updated hourly, daily or weekly. EA Mobile said it will roll out additional services in coming months, including a planned social community platform enabling subscribers to share information and challenge opponents to live games.

"Sports fans hunger for sports info, stats and news 24/7--with EA Sports Link, these fans are always just one button away from their favorite team's scores, updates, news and games," EA COO and VP Michael Marchetti said in a prepared statement. "This groundbreaking service is going to change the way people experience sports and mobile sports content. We believe that the mobile phone is a perfect platform on which to build sports-themed services and provide content for the ever-growing community of EA Sports fans."
