EA to release Tiger Woods PGA game for iPhone

Interactive entertainment software firm Electronic Arts' EA Mobile unit is poised to release a new iPhone and iPod touch game based on its Tiger Woods PGA Tour golf franchise. According to VentureBeat, the touchscreen-based game--expected to debut within the next few months--will feature seven 18-hole golf courses, five pro golfers and customizable avatars enabling gamers to create virtual players in their likeness. EA Mobile adds that a host of iPhone titles are in the pipeline: "We're taking the iPhone extremely seriously," said EA Mobile producer Josh Milton.
