EA's posts net loss of $16M from Jamdat buy
Electronic Arts (EA) posted a net loss of $16 million largely because of acquisition costs associated with its purchase of Jamdat last year and a delayed switch to next-gen gaming consoles. EA's revenue was up 16 percent to $641 million, more than expected from analysts who predicted revenue of about $581 million minus items. Revenue from handhelds and mobile was $393 million for the quarter, up 233 percent.
