Digital marketplace eBay reports its mobile sales increased 146 percent year-over-year during Nov. 29's Cyber Monday shopping event. According to eBay, the Computers & Networking and Cell Phones & PDAs categories respectively accounted for 11 percent and 8 percent of Cyber Monday sales--the top 10 leading search terms included Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 4, Apple iPad and Apple iPod Touch.

Earlier this week, eBay said Black Friday sales in the U.S. across its suite of mobile applications almost doubled over the previous year. The company notes its worldwide mobile initiatives remain on track to generate more than $1.5 billion in sales this year, nearly triple the $600 million eBay reported in 2009. Since the introduction of eBay's first mobile application in July 2008, on-the-go consumers have bought or sold nearly 30 million items.
