eBay models new fashion app for iPhone

Digital marketplace eBay launched its eBay Fashion app for the iPhone, touting a personalized shopping experience enabling consumers to browse, purchase and virtually try on designer, branded and vintage merchandise. The free eBay Fashion app includes features like Personalized Closet, which allows users to add, store and curate favorite finds; Outfit Builder, for mixing and matching Closet items; access to the eBay Fashion Vault, featuring exclusive discounts on new, fixed-price clothing, shoes and accessories; Virtual Style Gallery, showcasing new fashion trends in an interactive slideshow format; and item sharing via Facebook, Twitter and email.

The eBay Fashion application follows on the April launch of fashion.ebay.com, an enhanced shopping destination bolstered by a more visual browsing experience as well as new navigation and functionality like image similarity technology. The fashion.ebay.com site averages more than 19 million daily fashion listings.
