Ericsson, Intel team to accelerate mobile media adoption

Swedish equipment manufacturer Ericsson and U.S. computer chip developer Intel announced today an alliance targeted at accelerating deployment of their mobile broadband services and applications, integrating their technology for mobile operators in effort to boost market adoption of multimedia services including interactive TV, gaming and music. While few other specifics were announced, the companies said their integrated solutions would be based on Ericsson's HSPA and IMS platforms for convergence with Intel's Mobile technology.
