ESPN teams with StubHub for mobile ticketing
ESPN and ticket resale marketplace StubHub announced the launch of the StubHub Mobile Ticketing Center, a new service available across both the ESPN ScoreCenter app and the sports media giant's mobile website. According to ESPN, users browsing a team's schedule, an upcoming game preview or following action via ESPN GameCast can now see real-time StubHub ticket prices and inventory, filter according to price and quantity, and make purchases directly from their handsets. Consumers can consummate a deal by billing their existing StubHub account or entering their credit card or PayPal account information. ESPN adds that it will incorporate multiple StubHub Ticket Center purchase links across its mobile properties.
StubHub promises tickets to tens of thousands of sporting events, concerts, theatrical productions and other live attractions. All transactions are processed and delivered by the company and backed by its FanProtect Guarantee. Partners include nearly 60 teams in the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and NCAA.
