Fandango sold more mobile tickets for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 than any other film in its history, eclipsing the previous record-holder, The Hangover II. Fandango adds that its cross-platform sales yielded 19 percent of Deathly Hallows, Part 2's domestic opening weekend box office record of $169 million.
Consumers have downloaded Fandango mobile apps more than 18 million times. Fandango's redesigned website, developed in partnership with Trilibis Mobile and introduced this spring, enables consumers to browse movies playing in their area, search for titles starting within the hour via the "Go Now" button and purchase tickets. Users can also select paperless ticketing options at select theaters.
