Tools

MobiTV will broadcast live coverage of President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration across five mobile channels. CSPAN will kick off coverage of today's events at 6 a.m. ET, with ABC News NOW signing on at 9 a.m. ET, followed by Fox News at 10:30 a.m. ET and both CNBC and MSNBC at 11 a.m. ET. CSPAN's mobile simulcast will air until midnight ET. ABC News Now, which promises live coverage of the Inaugural Ball beginning at 8 p.m. ET, will sign off at 10 p.m. ET.

MobiTV is anticipating significant viewership totals based on spikes throughout the 2008 presidential campaign. During the first presidential debate on Sept. 26, MobiTV enjoyed a 64 percent increase over the average daily viewing on its mobile news channels. The Oct. 2 vice presidential debate saw a 102 percent increase over average daily totals, and third presidential debate Oct. 15 experienced a 111 percent increase over the norm. Most impressive of all, on Nov. 4 MobiTV enjoyed a 373 percent increase in election night viewing minutes compared to the daily average.
