Flycell launches mobile production division

Mobile content provider Flycell announced the formation of a new production division that will develop, produce and co-produce digital multimedia entertainment for the U.S. mobile market. The fledgling Flycell Productions also trumpeted its first content partnerships, most notably teaming with Ensemble Development (co-founded by Tony To, an executive producer behind the acclaimed HBO miniseries "Band of Brothers," and Patrick Murray) to develop an as-yet-untitled series of three-minute mobisodes. Flycell will also launch mobisode series in conjunction with Charged (the celebrity satire "The B-Team"), Red Giant Media (the animated sci-fi series "Time Slip," based on designs by comic book artist Michael Avon Oeming) and Choice Entertainment (the investigative report "The Jim and James Show"). Flycell plans to supplement each series with interactive mobile and online content.
