Fox Mobile debuts premium 'Family Guy' app for iPhone

Fox Mobile Entertainment announced the launch of the Freakin' Sweet Family Guy iPhone application, which exploits the In-App Purchase feature of the new iPhone OS 3.0 update to enable fans of the popular Fox television animated comedy to instantly buy full episodes through an embedded link to iTunes. According to Fox Mobile Entertainment, the Family Guy app--developed in conjunction with Rhythm NewMedia--also features four video channels showcasing highlights from the show as well as a video mixer, enabling iPhone and iPod touch users to create and share their own custom clip montages. The application is available now for $1.99--Fox Mobile Entertainment adds the app is also supported by limited, interactive, pre-roll video advertising.
