Not-for-profit research organization the Financial Services Technology Consortium announced an initiative to study the various mobile payment technology platforms, promising it will make recommendations on an approach best suited to enable the future introduction of an interoperable m-payments infrastructure. According to the FSTC, more than 25 participants from the banking, mobile operator and technology provider spheres will join together to offer a broad view of the current environment and best practices.
