FusionOne debuts mobile content transfer solution

Mobile phone backup and migration services provider FusionOne announced a new mobile content ecosystem based on its operator-branded Mobile Content Transfer Solution, promising a media transfer platform that arbitrates DRM issues bedeviling the movement of licensed content from one device to another. According to FusionOne, the solution--based on its MightyBackup Premium product--links operators, device makers, content providers, billing system providers and technology providers to enable subscribers the option of restoring licensed content when they acquire a new handset, also migrating subscriptions and credits. In tandem with the news, FusionOne also announced new content provider partnerships with The Weather Channel Mobile, Vindigo, Kick Start Mobile and Reaxion.
