FusionOne inks mobile content backup deals

Tools

Mobile phone backup services provider FusionOne announced agreements with five new mobile content partners: Mobile multimedia apps provider FunMobilit; mobile entertainment publisher Hands-On Mobile; casual gaming publisher Digital Chocolate; mobile slideshows and video content provider Viva Vision; and enhanced caller ID services provider Cequint. The deals enable subscribers to seamlessly transfer to new handsets licensed content from the firms in question. FusionOne's Mobile Content Transfer solution enables providers to preserve and extend existing relationships with their customers independent of a subscriber's mobile device. According to a recent FusionOne consumer survey, only 13 percent of subscribers repurchase content like games, applications and ringtones when they switch to a new phone.
