Game on for TIM

Tools

Italian operator Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) announced the launch of a 3D mobile game service. The games, licensed from mobile content developer GameLoft, are based on data solutions provider Qualcomm's BREW Gaming Signature Solution. Via Qualcomm's uiOne user interface customization tool, TIM will also offer subscribers live media feeds, downloadable skins and an idle screen function for receiving content updates. Roughly two months after a similar deal with British operator O2, the agreement is a notable win for Qualcomm, which has historically found the European market resistant to the BREW platform.
