The Gameloft Live social gaming community now tops 4 million users across the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iOS and Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android platforms. Gameloft trumpeted the milestone in a Twitter update Tuesday morning.

Gameloft Live launched in 2008--the service enables gamers to find fellow players, chat, send messages and earn virtual rewards. Titles include N.O.V.A., Earthworm Jim, Blades of Fury and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard.

Last month, Gameloft announced it plans to introduce 12 new mobile games during the second half of 2011. Marquee titles include Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Lego Batman: The Mobile Game and Asphalt 6: Adrenaline. Gameloft now distributes its games in 100 countries and employs more than 4,000 developers.
