Gameloft tops 20 million premium App Store downloads

Mobile game publisher Gameloft announced that consumers have downloaded more than 20 million of its titles via Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) App Store since the digital storefront opened in July 2008. Gameloft has so far developed and published 100 games for Apple's iOS platform, including 18 iPhone games and 29 iPad titles since the beginning of 2010--the firm adds that 25 of those 47 releases reached the top of the App Store's bestseller list, led by hits including Let's Golf! 2, Iron Man 2 and Brothers in Arms 2: Global Front. Gameloft adds it will issue 15 new titles prior to year's end, among them NFL 2011 HD, Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles HD, Spider-Man: Total Mayhem HD and Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus.
