Glu Mobile CEO Ballard resigns
Mobile games publisher Glu Mobile announced the pending resignation of president and CEO Greg Ballard. According to Glu, the firm has retained executive recruiting firm Egon Zehnder to identify new candidates for the post, with Ballard remaining in his current role until a successor is in place. Ballard joined Glu Mobile six years ago--he previously served as CEO and COO for Warner Custom Music, a unit of Time Warner, and was also president of Capcom Software. Late last year, when Glu announced plans to reduce headcount while slashing total annualized non-GAAP operating expenses by about $13 million, Ballard said he would ask the company's board to reduce his salary by 25 percent.
