Glu Mobile inks distribution deal with Konami
Mobile game publisher Glu Mobile announced a strategic partnership with Konami Digital Entertainment awarding Glu exclusive distribution rights to Konami properties across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Per terms of the deal, Konami's European mobile development facilities will assume game production chores, with lineup and details announced at a later date. According to Glu, it will begin distributing Konami titles in the second half of 2007.
"Glu's reputation and track record of creating hits on mobile made them the partner of choice for bringing our key titles to mobile gamers in these key regions," said Konami president Kunio Neo in a prepared statement. "Our collaboration with Glu will ensure that the Konami games that people love will be quickly and easily accessible and available to as many consumers as possible."
