Glu Mobile intros "Transformers" content
Mobile game publisher Glu Mobile announced an agreement with HPG, the licensing arm of toymaker Hasbro, to launch games and personalization content based on DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures' upcoming "Transformers," a live-action adaptation of the popular toy and animation franchise. Glu will distribute "Transformers" content across 150 carriers in 65 nations throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia--in addition to the first-ever Transformers mobile game, Glu will make available more than 30 wallpapers, seven screensavers and 15 voicetones featuring actor Peter Cullen, who plays Optimus Prime on the big screen. According to Hasbro, the Transformers brand has grossed $3.1 billion in sales since debuting in 1984.
