Glu Mobile outlines first-quarter games lineup
Mobile gaming publisher Glu Mobile announced its North American lineup of games for the first quarter of 2009, promising a strategy that emphasizes cross-platform global launches. New titles include the action games Superman/Batman: Heroes United and Watchmen, puzzle games Bugs Bunny Rabbit Rescue and Brain Genius Deluxe, and casual game Cooking Star as well as Age of Empires III (an N-Gage version of the Microsoft strategy title) and Monsters vs. Aliens, based on the upcoming DreamWorks animated feature.
Glu Mobile's upcoming slate also reflects the firm's recent internal resource realignment, incorporating development for the iPhone and Android operating systems to bolster its existing catalog of Windows Mobile, Blackberry, J2ME and BREW titles--according to Glu, it has reallocated about 30 percent of development resources to reflect the emergence of new platforms. Glu now supports more than 1,000 devices in more than 10 languages and 65 countries worldwide.
