Google debuts Image Search for Android, iPhone
Google announced the launch of a new Image Search results page for Android, iPhone and iPod touch devices in the U.S., the U.K. and Japan. According to a Google Mobile Blog post written by Google Mobile Search software engineer Leo Ting, the service enables users to scan up to 20 images on a single results page, complete with details on images of interest; from there, users can view a larger thumbnail, visit the web page containing the image, or view the image by itself in full size. In addition, Image Search supports "search-by-style" filters, giving users the latitude to restrict results to people's faces, clip art, line drawings or photo content.
