Search giant Google has filed an abstract with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office outlining its proposed method for presenting advertising content over mobile devices. Patent application 20070022442 encapsulates what Google calls a "dispatch system to remote devices," detailing how mobile ads might appear as well as how users might access and implement the information therein. Particulars are still scarce, but the abstract states the ad information will be "capable of being presented in a plurality of formats on the communication device."

From what I recall from my engineering development days and my "one and only granted patent", I thought "prior art" would not allow such a patent application to be submitted let alone ever be granted. I bring to your attention the television as the communication device capable of displaying in a multitude of formats, etc. etc. etc.
This is truly greed at its best.
There are already some patents granted in this space. GDM patent 716226 seems to have every process already included in their patent
