Google inks multi-platform LBS deal with Tele Atlas
Location-based solutions provider Tele Atlas announced a five-year licensing agreement with Google, giving the web services giant access to Tele Atlas maps and navigation content across multiple platforms in 200 international markets. Financial terms were not disclosed. Per the agreement, Tele Atlas will supply LBS services and geospatial data to Google offerings across the mobile, online and desktop environments including Google Maps, Google Earth and Google Maps for Mobile--Tele Atlas also gains access to suggested changes and edits supplied by Google users.
