Google Maps for mobile 3.2 expands to BlackBerry

Tools

Google announced that version 3.2 of its Google Maps for mobile solution is now available for the BlackBerry platform. Introduced for Symbian 60 and Windows Mobile devices this summer, Google Maps for mobile 3.2 adds multiple layers of location-specific information to enable users to simultaneously view traffic information, Wikipedia content and friends' locations. "Layers make it easy to view various types of information on your map and are especially helpful in situations when you're traveling somewhere new," writes Google software engineer Michelle Chen on the Official Google Mobile Blog. "You can also turn on the Google Latitude layer to see your friends' locations."
