Gracenote, MetroLeap team for mobile lyrics service

Music identification solutions provider Gracenote and entertainment content provider MetroLeap announced an agreement to extend authorized song lyrics licensing services to mobile devices and iPhone applications via WAP. Gracenote's Lyrics service--an expansive database of licensed, complete and accurate lyrics--will now be offered as part of MetroLeap's MetroLyrics WAP portal, promising users the words to more than 500,000 commercial tracks from major publishers like EMI, Universal/BMG, Sony/ATV, and Warner/Chappell. Gracenote also boasts agreements with independent music publishers like ABKCO Music, Chrysalis Music Group and Disney Music Publishing as well as deals with artists including Bob Dylan, David Bowie and R.E.M. (which I guess means you can now figure out exactly what Michael Stipe is singing on Murmur).
