Groove Mobile announces exclusive music releases

Mobile music commerce platform Groove Mobile announced a series of exclusive full-track downloads now available solely via wireless device, anticipating their traditional retail release and iTunes availability by several weeks. The hip-hop and reggae content includes tracks from Talib Kweli, Pete Rock and U-Roy, all of them distributed by independent music digital distribution and marketing firm The Orchard.

"Groove Mobile is reaching millions of music fans that demand the latest from independent musicians on their mobile phones and enjoy being the first to hear exclusive tracks from their favorite artists," Groove chief marketing officer Adam Sexton said in a prepared statement. "More than just building buzz, exclusives on mobile are the best way to reach today's highly engaged and motivated music community who choose to listen to music on mobile phones."
