GSMA launches mobile innovation program

The GSM Association has launched a program to link mobile content developers and carriers. Called the Mobile Innovation Program, the goal is to help stimulate and showcase innovation.

In November, the GSMA will host a Mobile Innovation Summit at the Mobile Asia Congress in Macao. As part of the program, it will have senior executives from mobile operators and venture capitalists review submissions and select 50 small companies targeting the mobile industry. Those firms will be recognized and have the opportunity to meet with operators and investors at the Summit.

The GSMA plans to host a similar event at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.
