'Guitar Hero 5' strikes new chord on Palm webOS

Tools

Games publisher Glu Mobile has extended its popular Guitar Hero 5 Mobile franchise to Palm's webOS smartphone platform. The title is now available in the Palm App Catalog storefront for $5.99. Developed and published via Glu's partnership with Activision Publishing, Guitar Hero 5 Mobile--first introduced for rival platforms late last year--enables gamers to test their skill on guitar, bass and drums as they cover 20 songs including tracks from Rush, Blink 182 and Vampire Weekend--in addition, the title features three new venues (San Francisco, Cairo and the New York City subway system) and enhanced visuals like animated rockers, crowds and venue effects. Glu adds that the game's leaderboards enable players to compare their scores with players from across the globe.
