'Guitar Hero III: Backstage Pass' debuts
Connected games and applications developer Hands-On Mobile in tandem with gaming firm Activision Publishing announced the mobile release of Guitar Hero III: Backstage Pass, a follow-up to the breakout hit Guitar Hero III Mobile, which in the first quarter alone generated more than 1 million premium downloads among Verizon Wireless subscribers. Backstage Pass promises more than 25 hours of gameplay as mobile players promote their bands, build listener buzz, sign record deals and play gigs--career benchmarks are celebrated via new guitars, and gamers may also earn in-game money to buy additional instruments. An additional online component enables Guitar Hero III players to message each other, check standings and download new music.
