Handmark premieres Mobile Store Platform

Mobile media solutions provider Handmark announced the introduction of its Mobile Store Platform, promising handset manufactures and carriers a fast, turnkey solution for launching their own native, on-device mobile application and content storefronts. According to Handmark, the Mobile Store Platform offers a true end-to-end mobile store solution, including a customizable user interface built specifically for each device, including full touchscreen capabilities, as well as games, apps, themes, ringtones and related download services. The platform also boasts full-service merchandising with dedicated quality control and certification support, detailed user reviews and search functionality, carrier billing and alternative payment methods, and customer care and services for each app purchased or downloaded.

Handmark adds the platform was built for efficient customization, enabling partners to re-brand the homescreen icon, re-skin to change the store's look and feel, and select content they wish to feature as well as the application delivery method. The Mobile Store Platform is available now for Windows Mobile devices, with the firm planning to address rival smartphone operating systems in the near future.
