Helio gets Buzzd
Mobile virtual network operator Helio announced an agreement which local entertainment service provider Buzzd, which provides real-time, location-based information for area bars, clubs and restaurants. Spanning events and venue in all major U.S. cities, Buzzd features editorially-driven information aggregated via partnerships with Flavorpill, TimeOut New York and CitySearch as well as user-generated reviews and ratings from friends and other Buzzd community members--the service also enables subscribers to find and message friends. "The partnership is exciting as both Helio and Buzzd are using mobile technology to connect people with local entertainment around them," said Buzzd co-founder and CTO Deepen Shah in a prepared statement.
