How to experience Super Bowl XLVII on mobile
The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers kick off Super Bowl XLVII this Sunday at approximately 6:20 pm ET. If you can't make it in front of a big-screen TV in time for the festivities, you can turn to mobile: Verizon Wireless will stream the game live via NFL Mobile, its popular application for Apple's iOS and Google's Android. CBS, the network airing this year's Super Bowl broadcast, will offer real-time stats, live social media feeds and commercials through its CBS Sports Mobile app, also optimized for iOS and Android.
The National Football League has released two official apps for fans attending this year's championship game. The free Super Bowl XLVII Guide features information on events, nightlife and points of interest in home city New Orleans, while Super Bowl XLVII Official NFL Game Program, a virtual souvenir program optimized for Apple's iPad tablet and priced at $9.99, includes interactive content like clips of past Super Bowl contests and spotlights the season in review. Both the Ravens and the 49ers additionally offer dedicated multi-platform apps for their diehard fans.
